Renault Launches Electric Vehicle Experimentation in Yvelines

The project SAVE is launched: the first electric cars were delivered and installed the first terminals for full-scale experiment conducted by Renault and EDF, which lasted until July 2012.

Sales of electric cars from March 2011: a net increase in France

According to CCFA (French Automobile Constructors Committe) in February, sales of electric vehicles had reached the record low of 136 registrations, against 100 for the month of January 2011. The CCFA has released figures for the month of March, and they confirm the increase of sales.

CCFA calculate for the month of March 2011 a total of 248 electric vehicles sold in France, nearly 2 times more than in February.

Net sales of EVs is increased to 484 EVs for France. This represents 0.07% of total vehicle sales, which may seem small. But if we compare these new figures to those of last year (12 vehicles sold from January to March 2010), it is clear that market power has grown over 4000% in one year !

Soon, nearly 1/100 French will buy an electric vehicle .

LG A CONSTRUIT LA PLUS GRANDE USINE DE BATTERIES POUR V.E.

LG Chem a annoncé avoir achevé la construction à Ochang, en Corée du Sud, de la plus grande usine de batteries lithium-ion pour véhicules électriques au monde. Le site est doté d’une capacité de production annuelle permettant d’équiper 100 000 véhicules. Lire plus…

Renault and PSA : Sale Electric Vehicles forecast

Renault and PSA target 230.000 EV sales together in 2015.

• Renault: 20.000 – 30.000 EVs / year until 2015. Own target 200.000 EVs

• PSA: 7.000 EVs this year and 25.000 – 30.000 until 2015.

It is only a forecast for Renault and PSA, the first LEAF have just been delivered and will be for sure a strong challenger!

Avis is going to rent Electric cars!

Avis signed an agreement with Renault-Nissan and Citroen in order to propose to their clients the Nissan Leaf and also Fluence ZE or Kangoo ZE. Their goal is to rent this cars all around Europe in 2012.
